Report: WWE Talent Believe That A Draft Could Be Happening Soon

The WWE Draft might be right around the corner.

The company’s new era continues in the aftermath of Vince McMahon’s retirement, and Triple H, the new head of creative, has already made several big moves. He has brought back Karrion Kross, Dakota Kai, and Dexter Lumis, who were released by the previous regime. It appears that more shake-ups might be in store, at least within WWE‘s roster.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that talent believe that a draft could be happening soon. Some RAW stars are scheduled for the first SmackDown after Clash at the Castle on September 9, and SmackDown talent is internally set to appear on the September 5 and September 12 episodes of RAW. As a result, some talent has speculated that the WWE Draft will be held in the near-future after Clash at the Castle, though they haven’t had the news confirmed to them yet, let alone what brand they’ll wind up on.

Additionally, Sapp reports that writers have indicated that repackages are more likely to happen after these dates.

The 2021 WWE Draft kicked off on SmackDown on October 1, 2021, and it concluded on the October 4 edition of WWE RAW.  Roman Reigns and Big E, the reigning world champions, were the first overall picks for SmackDown and RAW. Several NXT stars, including Hit Row, Theory, and Aliyah, were also selected during the draft.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
