Kenny Omega is back.
“The Cleaner” returned on the August 17 edition of AEW Dynamite. As many expected, Omega reunited with The Young Bucks to compete in a first-round match of the AEW Trios Tag Team Championship tournament.
Ultimately, The Elite squad was victorious over the trio of Andrade El Idolo, RUSH, and Dragon Lee in the Dynamite main event. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks now advance to face the winner of Death Triangle vs. Will Ospreay and Aussie Open, which will take place on the August 24 episode of Dynamite.
Kenny Omega has been out of action since AEW Full Gear 2021 where he dropped the AEW World Championship to Hangman Page. Omega needed ample time off to recover from several injuries including a torn labrum in his shoulder, a hernia, and issues with his knees.
Also of note, Don Callis returned to AEW to help call Omega’s return match.
