Fourth Team Advances To WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinals

Toxic Attraction have advanced to the semifinals of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament.

On August 19, “SmackDown 1200″, as the company billed the show, featured another first-round match in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament pitting Sonya Deville and Natalya against NXT 2.0’s Toxic Attraction. The bout was originally set to feature Zoey Stark and Nikkita Lyons, however WWE announced on Friday that both Stark and Lyons were unable compete due to medical reasons.

Jacy Jane and Gigi Dolin brought their talents to the blue brand as a last-minute replacement, and it won’t be their last appearance either. Jane was able to score the pinfall victory over Natalya when she thought Dolin was the legal participant. Notably, Raw’s Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY were in the front row to observe the bout.

Toxic Attraction now advances to take on Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah in the semi-finals of the tournament on the August 26 edition of SmackDown. Whoever wins that bout will compete for the vacant championship at a later date.
