Report: Bobby Fish’s AEW Contract Likely Not Getting Renewed

Bobby Fish might be on his way out of All Elite Wrestling.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Fish’s contract is coming up, and when he finishes his deal, it will likely won’t be renewed.

Fish has been absent from AEW TV since the August 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, when he, Adam Cole, and Kyle O’Reilly turned on the Young Bucks. The trio haven’t been seen since, though Cole and O’Reilly are still dealing with injuries.

The veteran signed with AEW shortly after he debuted on the October 6 episode of AEW Dynamite last year. He faced Bryan Danielson and CM Punk, among others, on AEW TV before he eventually aligned with Cole. The duo then reunited with O’Reilly, who debuted in December. Fish and O’Reilly competed together as reDRagon on several occasions, but the former hasn’t been used often since O’Reilly and Cole went down with injuries earlier this summer. He most recently wrestled for AEW on the July 13 taping of AEW Dark: Elevation.

Otherwise, he has ventured back onto the independent scene; he recently competed at DEFY’s Doomsayers event in August.

Fish is widely known for his run with the Undisputed Era alongside Cole, O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong in WWE NXT. He won the NXT Tag Team Championship twice before the company cut him in a wave of releases on August 6, 2021.

His resume also includes impressive runs in ROH; with O’Reilly, he is a three-time ROH World Tag Team Champion and a two-tome IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
