Adam Pearce Announces That Ronda Rousey’s Suspension Is Over On 9/2 WWE SmackDown

Ronda Rousey‘s suspension is over, at least for now.

“The Baddest Woman on the Planet” was fined and suspended after she attacked officials following her loss at WWE SummerSlam, where she unsuccessfully challenged Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. In the controversial finish, Morgan scored the pin despite tapping out to Rousey’s arm-bar because the challenger’s shoulders were down. Rousey subsequently attacked more officials on WWE SmackDown, and WWE official Adam Pearce had her arrested.

On the September 2 episode of the show, she came to the ring for her “Final Judgment.” The former champion called Pearce to the ring to read a letter from the WWE Board of Directors. He did, and it revealed that the board concluded that Rousey’s actions were not criminal, so her suspension is over. Pearce noted that any tension between them wasn’t personal, as he was just doing his job, but Rousey disagreed. He then stated that if it were up to him, he would have fired Rousey.

She told him to kiss her ass, prompting Pearce to deliver a heated message about how hard he works. He stated that he doesn’t appreciate working with people like Rousey and called her the “biggest bitch” he has ever met.

He quickly backtracked, but Rousey slammed him to the mat and locked him in an arm-bar. The broadcast team wondered whether she could get penalized again, but as of this writing, nothing is official.
