Update On Dalton Castle’s Contract Status

Dalton Castle is reportedly a free agent.

Castle has made numerous appearances in Ring of Honor over the years, and his accolades include a ROH World Championship reign. Castle won more Ring of Honor gold at Death Before Dishonor in July, winning the ROH Six Man Tag Team Championships alongside The Boys. Moreover, Castle has worked two shows under Tony Khan’s ownership of the company this year.

Despite his appearances under the new Khan regime, PWInsider reported that Dalton Castle is in fact a free agent. Accordingly, PWInsider confirmed “The Party Peacock” to not be under contract to any professional wrestling company, reaffirming his free agent status.

Fans recently took notice of Castle’s absence from AEW Dynamite and Rampage tapings this week, which ran in Buffalo, NY. Western New York resides as Castle’s home area, an hour away from his hometown of Rochester. Through this absence, Castle’s contract status has since been verified.

As stated earlier, Dalton Castle currently serves as one of the ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions. His recent victory at Death Before Dishonor marked his second reign with the gold. In both reigns, Castle partnered with The Boys, Brandon and Brent. Outside of tag team wrestling though, Castle has found wide success as a solo competitor as well.

In regards to his ROH World Championship reign, Castle defeated Cody Rhodes to claim the Ring of Honor World Championship for the first time in late 2017. In the months following, Castle collected an impressive string of successful title defenses. He defeated the likes of Punishment Martinez, EVIL, and Jay Lethal. The latter would eventually cost Castle the ROH World Championship in a Four Corner Survival Match. More recently, Dalton Castle challenged for the ROH Championship at AEW: Battle of The Belts II. However, respective champion Jonathan Gresham would go on to defeat Castle to retain the title at the time.

Since his six-man tag title win at Death Before Dishonor, Castle has worked for TSW in Indiana and competed in the JT Lightning Invitational Tournament for Absolute Intense Wrestling.
