Eddie Edwards Has A New England Connection With Honor No More, It’s Been Surreal Working Together

Eddie Edwards is glad he got the chance to work with Honor No More on the level that he did in IMPACT Wrestling.

Edwards recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard about his run with Honor No More in IMPACT Wrestling. The group has a bond because of their ties to Ring Of Honor, but Edwards, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Vincent also came from the New England wrestling scene. Edwards says he’s glad he gets to work with people he has a bond with, calling it a surreal experience to have it happen in IMPACT Wrestling.

“For years, me and Matt and Vinny and Mike, and you said the New England connection, we’ve known each other for a long time. I’ve known, you know, me and Mike started basically around the same time, I’ve known Taven for his whole career at this point. But we’ve always thought that it’d be cool, hopefully, we can work together do something and someday,” Edwards explained. “And then the ROH [hiatus and sale] goes down and it got to the point where they came in and not only are we working at the same company, but we get to be a part of the same group and the same faction and do some badass and cool things along the way. So it’s a pretty surreal experience that it’s happening and it’s nice to sit back and enjoy, and be able to do it with people that you care about and you enjoy doing these things with.”

Edwards also spoke about Honor No More beating Bullet Club twice, as the stable picked up wins on IMPACT Wrestling and at the promotion’s Emergence special. Edwards agreed that those victories were statement wins for the group and it set a tone for the rest of the summer.

“Yeah, for sure. You know, that was kind of the goal. That’s what we built up to, you know? We wanted to get that big win. You know, we’d gotten our wins here and there, but for Honor No More as a whole, we needed that big win and that one against the Bullet Club, anytime you beat the Bullet Club, of course, it’s going to be a big win, but there’s so much at stake in that match. And then, of course, that kind of sets the momentum,” Edwards added, “that kind of set us on our way.”
