Kamille Discusses Possible ‘Forbidden Door’ Match With AEW Star

Kamille has served as a shining example of the “Forbidden Door.”

Since capturing the NWA Women’s Championship over 500 days ago, “The Brickhouse” defended the title in nine different promotions outside of her home in the National Wrestling Alliance. Notably, Kamille put the belt on the line at places like Reality of Wrestling, Capital Championship Wrestling, and Coastal Championship Wrestling.

Kamille successfully retained in all of her ventures in and outside her home base so far. With the recent spike in “Forbidden Door” opportunities in wrestling, Kamille recently spoke about her hopes to continue defending the title outside of the NWA.

“As long as I still have it after Hard Times 3, which is the intention, of course, going into it, that’s all I think is gonna happen,” she told Love Wrestling. “So I speak it into existence. I’ll be in the UK in December, so I’ll be defending it there. I have recently done some work with AAA I would love to defend the NWA title within AAA, I think that’d be something that’s super cool. As far as Forbidden Door type of things, I don’t really have an eye on an opponent just because with the Forbidden Door, you don’t know if it can happen for sure.”

TBS Champion Jade Cargill has emerged as a proposed opponent for Kamille amongst wrestling fans. “Someone like Jade Cargill, I know that’s a match that everyone wants to see; Kamille versus Jade Cargill, and who knows if it will be for my title or not. But she has a title too. So maybe title for title. There’s lots of options out there,” Kamille said.

While a match between AEW’s Jade Cargill and NWA’s Kamille isn’t necessarily off the table, Kamille noted that she is focused on getting more attention for her home promotion.” As much as I like to go with the flow, I still would like to get more eyes on the NWA. So I think being able to take the title to different places is a way to do that.”

Kamille will defend her NWA Women’s Championship in a triple threat match on November 12th at the promotion’s Hard Times 3 event. Meanwhile, Jade Cargill continues her reign as TBS Champion in All Elite Wrestling, recently extending her undefeated streak to 41-0.
