Report: Colby Corino Finishing Up With NWA, Expected To Sign With WWE

One of the NWA‘s young stars is reportedly wrapping up with the company, and he is expected to sign with WWE.

Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reports that Colby Corino will be finishing up with the NWA at the company’s television tapings on December 5 and December 6. Per Haynes, Corino’s contract is set to expire at the end of the month, and sources say that WWE has plenty of interest in him. Corino is reportedly expected to travel to the WWE Performance Center once he is a free agent in January. Haynes cited sources who noted that, if all goes well, Corino can be expected to sign with the company and report to NXT.

Colby signed with NWA in June 2021, and he has frequently competed for the company ever since. He has also been active on the independent scene; he has wrestled for promotions like ICW No Holds Barred, H20, Black Label Pro, and Game Changer Wrestling. Colby is the son of former ECW star Steve Corino, who currently works as a trainer and producer for NXT. He is also the nephew of Cathy Corino, also known as Allison Danger, who had a brief run as a coach in WWE at the end of 2021.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
