Wrestle Kingdom 17 might go down as one of the most eventful nights in the history of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and the crowd will fully be able to participate in the event.
Earlier this morning, during the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Wrestle Kingdom press conference, it was announced that vocal support from the fans would return at WrestleKingdom on January 4.
New Japan broke the announcement on social media shortly after that. Tweeting out:
“BREAKING
New guidelines representing a transition to in principle vocal support at events to be implemented, starting at Wrestle Kingdom 17
#njwk17,” New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced.
It’s been two and a half years since crowds in Japan have been able to cheer and actively participate in a New Japan Pro-Wrestling event.
With this restriction lifted, we might experience one of the most energetic Japanese crowds in the history of Wrestle Kingdom.
