Heather Monroe Reflects On Standout Matches From SHIMMER, Shares What’s Next For Blonde Force Trauma

The Watch List takes a look at what matches you should be watching and they come recommended by today’s professional wrestling stars.

As the 2022 year winds down, WrestleZone’s Ella Jay recently spoke with Heather Monroe. Reflecting on some of her matches from the past couple of years, Monroe felt her performances at SHIMMER stood out.

“The last SHIMMER, I got to wrestle Zoey Skye, who is just amazing. So that was good. Then me and Ray Lyn got to wrestle the Sea Stars for SHIMMER Tag Team Championships. They’re established, they know what they’re doing. They have chemistry,” Monroe explained.

The Sea Stars — collectively Ashley Vox and Delmi Exo — have ruled the professional scene as a tag team. As real-life sisters, the Sea Stars have clutched gold in SHIMMER, Battle Club Pro, and Sabotage Wrestling. In addition, the duo has made notable appearances in AEW, IMPACT, and Major League Wrestling, all while maintaining their grip on the SHIMMER Tag Team Championships for over three years now.

In October 2021, Heather Monroe and partner Ray Lyn —together known as Blonde Force Trauma — challenged the Sea Stars for their titles. Though they suffered a loss, Monroe felt the experience provided great value to her. “[Ray Lyn & I], we had made promos and stuff, but we hadn’t really had a lot of matches together. So working with them, they helped us so much, know what’s going on. Also, I just love the match…that whole weekend was probably some matches that I was most proud of,” she said.

Though they never grasped hold of the SHIMMER Tag Team Championships, Blonde Force Trauma clutched the Brii Combination Wrestling Tag Team Championships in March 2022 and are still running strong in their reign.

Monroe and Lyn will soon complete two whole years as a team, and “The Killer Bae” explained her next goals for Blonde Force Trauma.

“I just want to get us out there more because we have more fun together than we do alone. So, we just really want to start getting out there and getting the name of BFT out there more and just working more places. Getting a chance to work more tag teams, like actual tag teams that we can learn from and that we know we can have good matches with, that’s kind of the main thing. We just want to learn more about tag team wrestling and become the best.”

Check out some free-to-watch full-length matches from Heather Monroe’s career below, including part of her best-of-seven series with Zoey Stark (fka Lacey Ryan), and a BFT tag bout.
