Following a promo on the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite in which “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry dug a grave for Christian Cage, the fan-favorite star has named their match “The Final Burial.”
On the March 3 episode of AEW Rampage, Perry made it clear that he’s determined to put Cage in a hole in the ground at AEW Revolution. He said that there will be “grave” consequences and called the match “The Final Burial,” potentially hinting that it could be a Buried Alive Match.
The feud has stretched on for months, as it began when Cage betrayed Perry in June 2022. On the March 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Cage mocked Perry, saying that he’s going to win a championship this year instead of the young star. He then took shots at Perry and his late father, culminating in a challenge to “a fight” at AEW Revolution.
After the insults about Perry family, the lights cut out, and a video popped up on the screen, showing the young star digging in a yard. As the camera showed more, it became clear that he was digging a grave, and sitting right on top of the hole was a tombstone with Cage’s name on it.
WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Revolution as it airs on Sunday.
