AEW All In Announcement Fulfills A Long-Time Dream Of Tony Khan

Tony Khan is ecstatic to return to Wembley Stadium.

Thursday night on Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan and commentator Nigel McGuinness revealed some major news. After months of anticipation, AEW finally confirmed they will head to the United Kingdom later this summer to for a wrestling extravaganza. For the first time five years, the All In name will be reprised, but this time, it’s going international. This year’s All In event will emanate from Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, August 27, marking the first professional wrestling event to be held there since WWE SummerSlam in 1992.

For AEW, All In will serve as the company’s UK debut, but for Tony Khan, this moment means so much more. “This is the moment I’ve been dreaming of for AEW since before we even launched the promotion. It’s a dream come true,” he told The Independent.

Outside of professional wrestling, Khan holds executive positions in two other sports as well. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, Khan serves as the Chief Football Strategy Officer. For Premier League’s Fulham club, Khan remains the Vice-Chairman and Director of Football Operations. Through those endeavors, Khan has ventured into Wembley Stadium on a few occasions, but now, he gets to reintroduce it to the world of professional wrestling.

“I believe London is the worldwide capital of sport,” Khan said. “It is one of my favourite sporting grounds on the planet, in my favourite city on the planet and for the 100-year anniversary of Wembley Stadium, I thought this is a huge announcement for all of us in AEW…Taking AEW there will be one of greatest moments in my life personally. My family has had so much great history there.”
