WWE SmackDown Viewership Dips On 5/19, Demo Also Down

WWE SmackDown viewership decreased on May 19, both in the total number and in the key demographic, compared to the previous week.

Wrestlenomics reports that 2.133 million viewers tuned in on Friday night. This number is down last week, when 2.149 million viewers watched the show. SmackDown faced plenty of competition, as it was up against the NHL and NBA playoffs.

In the 18 to 49 demographic, the May 19 episode of WWE SmackDown scored a 0.53 rating, which also marks a decrease from last week (0.56 rating in the same demographic). SmackDown ranked #3 among broadcast primetime and cable originals.

This week’s episode featured an appearance by Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, as he and Solo Sikoa had a face-to-face with Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. In the main event, The Usos faced Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar of the LWO.
