Becky Lynch: Money In The Bank Has Always Slipped Away, It’s Haunted Me

Becky Lynch wants revenge on Zoey Stark when the two collide in the Women’s Money in the Bank match next month in London.

Following her win last night on WWE RAW, Becky Lynch spoke to Cathy Kelley in a WWE Digital Exclusive. When asked what Money in the Bank would mean to her, Lynch offered a very heartfelt reply before turning her attention to Zoey Stark.

“I missed the last premium live event that we did in the UK, and this will be my first premium live event in the UK. That holds a lot of history for me,” Becky Lynch said. “I remember when I was 15 years old and taking a plane over to London and staying there with my uncle before I went off on a one-week wrestling summer camp, and I remember taking the train and imagining what life would be like as a WWE Superstar, and never really imagining that I could have gotten to where I’ve already gotten in my career.

“But there is one last thing that you said, and that’s winning the Money in the Bank contract and every ladder match that I’ve been in. I’ve been the last person on that ladder, holding the briefcase. It has always been at my fingertips, but it’s always slipped away from me. So that’s haunted me, and it’s the one thing that I have left to do.

“It’s the one thing that I can do to feel like my career has been completed. And the icing on the cake there is that if Zoey Starks gets into this match, I get to beat her up with ladders, and it’s sanctioned. And nobody can stop me, and nobody can arrest me. Because I said I was gonna ruin her life, and I’m gonna ruin her life.”

Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark both qualified for the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match last night on WWE RAW.
