Jungle Boy ‘May Have Something To Say’ About The TNT Championship Situation

Jungle Boy Jack Perry still desires to wear championship gold in All Elite Wrestling this year.

Ahead of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Jungle Boy Jack Perry sat down with WrestleZone ‘s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about Luchasaurus recently winning the TNT Championship, Perry admitted that might be a championship he’d want to go after following Forbidden Door.

“That definitely caught me by surprise a little bit and was not the way that I kind of foresaw things going,” Jungle Boy said. “Like he did it, he got the job done. So congratulations to him, but I will say this, the last match that Luchasaurus had before June is in November, and it was me inside a steel cage. I won that match.

“And the very next match, he becomes the TNT Champion. So when I look at that, I do think — I don’t know, that seems a little backward to me. So get through this one. I’m certainly not opposed to having more than one championship. That definitely kind of piqued my interest a little bit, so post Forbidden Door, I’ll definitely reevaluate the whole scene.”

When asked about his thoughts on Christian Cage celebrating as if he won the TNT Championship, Perry said that didn’t surprise him one bit.

“That does not surprise me at all,” Jungle Boy said. “Also, just for the record. I just beat Christian recently too. On back on to pay-per-views, I beat Luchasaurus, and I beat Christian, so whoever wants to call themself the TNT Champion, I may have something to say about that.”
