Report: Update On WrestleMania In London, John Cena’s WWE Money In The Bank Return

A new report shines some light on John Cena‘s promo at WWE Money in the Bank.

At the premium live event on July 1, Cena made a surprise appearance and told the London crowd that the city deserved to host a WrestleMania someday. He hyped up the fans and highlighted the special atmosphere of shows in the United Kingdom.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Cena’s return was kept a secret, as very few people knew he would be there. As for his comments about WrestleMania potentially being held in London, Sapp reports that the earliest the show could come to London would be 2026. Philadelphia has been announced for 2024 and WWE is close to finalizing the 2024 city, which is set to be in the United States.

Per Sapp, WWE sources don’t find a WrestleMania in London likely to happen in the near future, but a survey taker near media day ahead of WWE Money in the Bank enquired about host cities for a potential Royal Rumble or SummerSlam in the United Kingdom. WrestleMania was not named on the survey.

Additionally, Sapp wrote that WWE higher-ups noted that Cena was only set for WWE Money in the Bank, and he is not planned for upcoming programs, though that could change if he has availability in his schedule.

At the WWE Money in the Bank post-show press conference, Triple H commented on WrestleMania potentially coming to London. Click here to see what he had to say.
