Will Ospreay On Facing Zack Sabre Jr: I Don’t Think Anybody Can Compete With Me Right Now

Will Ospreay is ready for Zack Sabre Jr.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is set to return to London on October 14 for Royal Quest III as IWGP United Kingdom Champion Will Ospreay is slated to defend his title against NJPW World Television Champion Zack Sabre Jr. in the main event.

During a recent interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Ospreay expressed his respect for his challenger despite feeling confident about the outcome.

“I’ve always looked up to him him a weird way, we’ve had this incredibly friendly rivalry that’s stretched across England, America and Japan and it’s scary to say that he’s gotten even better,” Ospreay said. “He’s put on weight, he’s now a real life heavyweight style wrestler, but he hasn’t lost any of his fluidity or flexibility as a performer. But I don’t think there’s anybody in the world that can compete with me right now.”

Ospreay added, “It’s now a huge responsibility to get New Japan back to where it was before COVID hit. This is about promoting New Japan on a global stage, and there’s no better two wrestlers to main event.”

WrestleZone will provide updates on NJPW Royal Quest III following the event’s conclusion.
