Gnarls Garvin: I Asked For My MLW Release, They Didn’t Fulfill The Dates They Promised

Gnarls Garvin comments on his departure from Major League Wrestling.

Gnarls Garvin took to social media on November 21 and replied to an article in which MLW CEO Court Bauer made comments on Busted Open Radio about wrestlers “selling out” during a conversation about talent asking for releases. Garvin wrote that he basically signed a three-year non-disclosure clause with MLW. He stated that he quit MLW because they did not fulfill the dates he was promised per year.

Garvin made it clear that he was not released. He wrote that he asked for his release, and he was lucky he got out when he did.

Garvin signed with MLW in November 2021 and debuted at MLW Fightland 2021. He last worked the MLW tapings on February 26, 2022. In recent months, he has been active on the independent scene; he has competed for West Coast Pro, AAW, and OVW, among other companies.

Juicy Finau, Lance Anoa’i, and Arez have recently been released by MLW. Alex Hammerstone also asked for his release, but he reached an agreement with the company to finish 2023. More information is available here.
