Christian Cage has renamed his “children.”
On the November 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, TNT Champion Christian Cage came to the ring to rechristen Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne. The trio lost to Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, and Sting. Cage blamed Luchasaurus for the loss and renamed him “Killswitch”, as his previous name would forever be associated with failure. He said the former TNT Champion was his “finisher”, and he would have the chance to prove that on AEW Collision.
As for Nick Wayne, Cage told Nick he was his golden boy, and he saw himself in the young star. With that in mind, Cage renamed Nick as “The Prodigy” Nick Wayne.
Nick Wayne’s mom Shayna came out, and Christian unleashed a harsh message about how Nick was embarrassed by her, and he would renounce his father if he was still alive. Killswitch started to defy Cage, who then slapped the powerhouse.
Shayna got knocked down, and Christian went to hit her with a con-chair-to. He then gave the chair to Killswitch, but Adam Copeland made the save. Killswitch and Cage escaped, but as Shayna tearfully looked on, Copeland blasted Nick with a con-chair-to.
