AJ Francis Encouraged Michael Cole To Call Him ‘Flop Dolla’ To Set Up A Match

AJ Francis loves Michael Cole.

Former Hit Row member Top Dolla made headlines this week when he revealed this his infamous WWE SmackDown botched dive ultimately led to discovering he has diabetes. Francis then spoke to MuscleManMalcolm to explain more about the situation and addressed fans calling him “Flop Dolla” after the botch.

“I don’t care about the Flop Dolla thing for real,” Francis said. “I do in the fact that that’s not my name and you are too comfortable calling me that in person like I won’t slap your f*cking face off your face. As a jokey thing, I don’t give a f*ck. I don’t care. I was the one telling [Michael] Cole to keep saying it.”

When asked about his relationship with Cole, Francis revealed they were working together on trying to set up a match.

“I love Cole, Cole loves me,” Francis said. “The reason Cole did everything he does is because we were working together. We were trying to get a match. I would sit at the desk at SmackDown while he’s going over whatever he’s going over for the show and we would have conversations about how we can try and set this up, what we would do, what the finish would be. ‘Who else could we get involved?’ We had these conversations in depth.”

AJ Francis: Michael Cole Didn’t Understand Online Reaction

AJ Francis then explained that he texted Cole after Survivor Series to tell him how good of a job he did and Cole responded right back. “The Voice of WWE” didn’t understand the hate against Top Dolla either.

“He was even being like, ‘Yo, I don’t understand what’s up with the online people. Like how do they not understand that we’re doing a thing? Like why do they think that I hate you?’… Me and Cole was in on the whole thing together. That’s the funniest part to me is we worked you so bad you didn’t even know you got worked.”
