Elias Is A Free Agent Now, Reveals New Name

Elias is dead. Now, we can all Walk With Elijah.

The man formerly known as WWE Superstar Elias (and Ezekiel) posted the following video, indicating a new chapter in his career:

Elias (Jeffrey Scuillo) was released by WWE in September 2023. He first joined WWE in 2014 where he used the surname ‘Sampson’. Then, he took on a drifter gimmick and feuded with Kassius Ohno, losing a Loser Leaves NXT match.

Elias was called up to RAW in 2017, where he was featured in segments with John Cena and The Undertaker. He also served as the opponent for one of Jeff Jarrett’s last WWE matches.

He was moved to SmackDown in the 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-Up. One of his last angles saw him portray Ezekiel, the alleged long-lost younger brother of Elias. His last match in WWE was an appearance in an Intercontinental Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal on the May 15, 2023 episode of RAW.

Update: Elijah’s first post-WWE appearance will be for the International Wrestling Cartel on February 24 in Elizabeth, PA.
