A new report provides an update as to why WWE is double-taping NXT on February 13.
As previously reported, WWE will be holding double tapings of NXT and SmackDown on February 13 and 20, respectively, ahead of WWE Elimination Chamber, as talent, staff, and crew will have to travel to Perth for the event.
In an update, Dave Meltzer commented on the situation in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He noted that WWE will be holding tryouts in Perth, Australia, so the key officials in NXT will be there as well. (H/t Joseph Currier of F4WOnline.com)
As of this writing, WWE has yet to officially announce a tryout in Australia. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
