Becky Lynch Had A Falling Out With Charlotte Flair, But They’d Still Be There For Each Other

Becky Lynch said it was easy to work with Charlotte Flair again.

She recently spoke to Cheap Heat, promoting her new book, Becky Lynch: The Man (Not Your Average Girl).

The wrestler-turned-author was asked about how things are between her and her former best friend Charlotte Flair. They last wrestled at Survivor Series in November, after years of bad blood between the pair.

She noted that they did fall out, but she would be there if Charlotte ever needed anything, and gave her a fair view of their fall out in her book.

“You know, I think good. I think in writing this book, at no point, and I certainly did not intend to be disparaging against her and don’t think I am, I think I’m fair in trying to give her perspective in things. I don’t think it’s fair to completely bury somebody in a book, because in a world that is so subjective, they don’t have the opportunity to defend themselves.

“So, I talk about our fall outs, but at least try to paint it from her perspective as well as from my own. Working together was easy because the undercurrent from all of this was love. You get more upset by somebody hurting you if you love them than from somebody you had no relationship from at all.”

“We were best friends, we were like sisters. Then we fell out. Wrestling came between us. Then we came back together, then the notorious fall out with the titles. But throughout all of that, if she ever needed anything, I’d be there for her. I think if I ever needed anything, she’d be there for me. I think that trumps all. Life is too short to hold these animosities for too long. You hold them too long, they weigh down on you.”

Becky Lynch Wrestles To Give Back After All Of Her Accomplishments

During a virtual book signing with Live Signing, Becky Lynch was asked about her motivation for wrestling. She said that she loves wrestling, and wants to leave the business in a better place than she found it.

“I love this, I love what I do, and I love wrestling. I love being out there in front of the fans, and I love everything about wrestling. And I love everything that goes into it, and that’s enough to motivate me. It’s not about the accomplishments any more. Thankfully, luckily, I’ve been able to get all of them. I’ve been able to do all of that.”

“But it’s really about what I can give back now. It’s not about what I can get from wrestling, It’s how I can give. How I can make it the greatest viewing experience for the audience. How I can make it a better place after I leave it than how I found it, and I think that’s what continues to keep me motivated.

“And just telling stories. What is the most interesting story I could tell.”
