Sol Ruca is currently enjoying her reign as WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. She isn’t getting comfortable, though, and has her eyes on a future goal.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Ruca opened up about her current reign as Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The star, who beat Becky Lynch at Clash in Italy, said that even though she’s the champion now, she has a major milestone on her mind.
“I want them to think that I’ve had the best Intercontinental Championship run of all time,” said Ruca. “That’s the goal. I want to defend it as many times as possible. If it was up to me, I would absolutely love to bring some NXT girls up to try and defend this title and put them up on the main roster and see what they got. I just want to defend it as much as I can. I want to do right by this title.”
Ruca will have a long way to go to cement her status as greatest with the belt. The current longest reign with the title is 163 days, held by Lynch in 2025. Ruca is only on her first week with the title, but she’ll have every chance to keep defending it moving forward.
