Baron Corbin came to the defense of Trick Williams today after comments from Dave Meltzer, who painted the NXT Superstar in a negative light.
On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer had some choice words for NXT Superstar Trick Williams. Stating that while he has incredible charisma, he isn’t good in the ring.
These comments have resulted in a lot of backlash from the WWE Universe, including some who currently work for the company.
Current NXT Superstar Baron Corbin took to social media to respond to these comments and offer support for Williams, tweeting out:
“Trick is dope and gets better every time he steps in the ring! Charisma connects you to the people, the people buy your merch and tune in to see you. They don’t give a shit if you’re the best technical wrestler ever. Trick will be extremely successful,” Baron Corbin said in a post.
Trick Williams is set to challenge Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship this Tuesday night on NXT Spring Breakin’.
