The feud between Chad Gable and WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn continues to escalate.
At WWE King and Queen of the Ring, Sami Zayn will put the title on the line against Chad Gable and Bronson Reed. On the May 20 episode of WWE RAW, Zayn kicked off the show and discussed the match. He highlighted his issues with both contenders and stated that he wanted to deal with both of them at the same time. Zayn expressed his confidence that he would retain the gold.
Chad Gable interrupted and stated that he was tired of hearing Zayn talk, and he would not just take his title, but he would also take his soul.
Gable then faced Zayn in a non-title match. The two foes battled it out in a hard-fought match. Gable kicked Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa out from ringside when they would not interfere. Otis also opted not to interfere, but he changed his mind after Gable slapped him. He blindsided Zayn, and Gable slammed the champion with the Chaos Theory for the win.
