Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus recently returned to in-ring competition. As soon as he returned, the King of the Ring tournament was announced as well. The Celtic Warrior wrestled the Ring General Gunther in the first round of the tournament. It seemed to be an evenly matched contest. But towards the end, Ludwig Kaiser, who was at ringside, attacked Sheamus and as a result cost the Brawling Brute the match and the opportunity to become a two-time King of The Ring winner.
Last night on Monday Night Raw, the Celtic Warrior Sheamus wrestled Imperium’s Ludwig Kaiser in a one-on-one match for the first time on the Red brand. As the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was making his way to the ring, Ludwig Kaiser ran from behind and attacked Sheamus. After a hard-fought battle, Sheamus’ leg was too banged up to thrive, and in the end, Kaiser picked up the victory.
Following the match, Jackie Redmond caught up with the Celtic Warrior. Sheamus mentioned that the match between him and Ludwig Kaiser was indeed a banger and he was eager to wrestle Kaiser in a rematch.
“Jackie, that match was a Banger. One-nil to the German in the first leg. Let’s go again,” Sheamus said.
