Development of Mr. McMahon
Netflix’s Vince McMahon documentary has been in development for several years. It was first announced in October 2020, and it was initially expected to be released in 2022. The docuseries was reportedly pulled from Netflix’s schedule after the sexual assault allegations against McMahon became public, but Simmons said they were still working on the project in January 2023.
Simmons later told Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw at Bloomberg Screentime that McMahon would not have any influence on the final cut.
