Tony Khan recently announced a new championship coming to Ring of Honor.
It’s no secret that the weekly Ring of Honor product has a lot of issues, but is another championship title really going to fix things? For some reason, Tony Khan seems to believe that a new championship will bring renewed interest to the product.
On Saturday night, following AEW Collision, Khan came out in front of the live crowd to introduce a Ring of Honor Women’s Pure Championship. A tournament to crown the first champion will kick off at Supercard of Honor next month.

This is now the third women’s championship on the Ring of Honor roster. While many fans have asked for Khan to introduce Women’s Tag Titles for AEW or Ring of Honor, he has elected to debut another singles title instead.
