Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane has updated the WWE Universe in regards to her injury status.
Former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane hasn’t competed in a WWE ring since the December 2 episode of RAW. Sane and IYO SKY lost a tag match to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
Sane was written off television shortly following this match, and we haven’t seen her on WWE programming since. It was reported at the time that Sane was suffering from an injury that would require surgery and there was no timetable for her return.
The RAW Superstar recently took to social media to provide a positive update on her injury, teasing that she could be back in a WWE ring sooner rather than later, tweeting out:
“Three months ago, I tore a ligament in my thumb and couldn’t even open a bottle cap. Now, I’ve fully regained my grip strength—and I’m even stronger than before. I’m truly grateful from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Hirsch, who performed my surgery. He was such a kind and wonderful doctor. I wish I had taken a photo with him to remember that moment. *Pleading face emoji,*” Kairi Sane said in a post.
Sane’s Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY is scheduled to defend the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on Kairi Sane’s WWE return as it becomes available.
