Penta and Rey Fenix, known together as The Lucha Bros, are now part of WWE.
Penta hopes to reunite with his brother Rey Fenix in WWE following his debut. He debuted in January, while Fenix arrived a few weeks ago. Although they currently compete on separate brands, both brothers made their WrestleMania debuts this past weekend in Las Vegas.
Penta competed in a Fatal 4-Way match for the Intercontinental Championship, while Fenix filled in for the injured Rey Mysterio to face El Grande Americano. Since arriving in WWE, Penta El Zero Miedo has made a strong impression and now hopes to reunite with Rey Fenix to reform their tag team, The Lucha Bros.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo, Penta reflected on his brother’s return to the ring after nearly a year away from action. “So proud of my brother, because that’s my little brother, and finally, after almost one year [when] my brother didn’t have any matches, I saw my brother on TV at my house when he debuted. It’s like me and my daughter [are so] proud of my brother. I feel very happy for my brother and for me, too, because finally, the Lucha Brothers are together here, the best tag team in the universe, together, in the best company in the universe, too.”
When asked about a potential reunion with his brother Rey Fenix in WWE, Penta replied, “I hope very soon.” [H/T: Fightful]
