The Rock Reacts To WrestleMania Criticism, Accusation He Threw Triple H Under The Bus

The Rock responds to criticism.

At WrestleMania 41, John Cena captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes thanks to some help from rapper Travis Scott. According to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who became involved in Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber, he loved the match finish. At the same time, though, he would have personally “finessed” the path to the WrestleMania finish a bit differently.

These comments, which were made by Johnson on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, have since become a hot topic of debate online, including Busted Open Radio. Busted Open co-host Dave LaGreca was especially critical of Johnson’s comments, so much so that he unloaded a rant at Johnson (shared via Instagram), which accused him of throwing WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, the head of creative, under the bus. LaGreca additionally cited issue with Johnson’s making those comments while being absent from WrestleMania, seemingly to do reshoots for the live-action Moana film instead.

“Hi Dave, the business is a complete work. Always has been, always will be,” Johnson wrote in Instagram post’s comments section. “Every aspect of it, every match. Every interview. Please join me, Cody, Cena, Brian and the rest of us for our creative discussions so you can expand your perspective. Until then, stop ranting, it’s not healthy my friend. Enjoy the show. Ps, tell Bubba [Ray] I have Grand Marnier and hush puppies for all of us.”

As per his original statements on The Pat McAfee Show, Johnson wanted to ” step back into the shadows” following Elimination Chamber in order to put a brighter spotlight on Cena, Rhodes and their championship match, rather than himself or either of their souls.
