Ric Flair sets the record straight.
The professional wrestling world is no stranger to rumors and gossip. While some claims have turned out to be true, others, like a recent one involving Ric Flair, have been proven false.
In this case, concern arose that Flair might currently be dealing with a cancer of some sort. Wrestling promoter and Flair’s son-in-law Conrad Thompson confirmed that “The Nature Boy” previously had a skin cancer removed. According to Flair, though, his present-day self is generally healthy and cancer-free.
“I’m sorry people have been misled by social media, but I don’t have cancer of any kind,” Flair wrote on X. “Thank you for your concerns and for everyone reaching out. I am absolutely fine, and unfortunately, you’ll have to live and put up with me for another 25 years!”

Flair, at the age of 76, is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, though he’s notably been absent from television across the last year. This can be attributed to Flair’s need for blood thinners following a past, severe blood clot in his leg. Given his more recent statement, Flair seems to be in good shape otherwise.
