Mercedes Moné Claps Back At Fan Who Says She’s ‘Washed’

Mercedes Moné claps back.

Per Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, “washed” as an adjective means “containing, covered with, or thoroughly penetrated by water” often by the act of cleansing. “Washed-up,” on the other hand, refers to someone or something that is “no longer successful, skillful, popular, or needed.”

Over on Twitter/X, TBS Champion Mercedes Moné posted a message of gratitude, writing “I’m so thankful [red heart emoji],” to which a follower responded by stating “You’re washed though.”

Naturally, Moné clapped back at the comment, showing she that’s not just “The CEO,” but also a master of the dictionary. “Extremely fresh and clean,” she wrote, referencing the formal definition of “washed.”

Per her former “Sky’s The Limit” remixed theme song (featuring Snoop Dogg), though, she’s always been (so) fresh (ya’ll).

What’s next for Mercedes Moné?

Later tonight, fans can see Moné on AEW Dynamite, emanating from the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Her exact involvement in the show has yet to be revealed. However, her AEW Double or Nothing opponent, Jamie Hayter, will sit down with Renee Paquette to discuss the matchup. At the May 25 pay-per-view, Moné and Hayter will compete in the finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation finals, with the winner going on to challenge for the AEW Women’s Championship at All In on July 12.

Moné currently holds the TBS, NJPW STRONG, and RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championships all at once.
