Sareee has achieved her goal of becoming IWGP Women’s Champion by defeating Syuri at STARDOM The Conversion.
Following their 30-minute time limit draw at Sareee-ISM Chapter VII, Sareee and Syuri agreed to meet again for a rematch. Upon dethroning Mayu Iwatani at All Star Grand Queendom this past April, Syuri upped the stakes by making the bout for the IWGP Women’s Championship. The match was then made official for the STARDOM The Conversion show.
To ensure a decisive result this time around, STARDOM sanctioned the match to a 60-minute time limit. Both women came into the match to deliver their best performance. Syuri made use of her signature strikes while Sareee fought back with her unparalleled technical defense.
The action was strongly even come the 30-minute mark. However, after a continuous sequence of Uranages, Sareee picked up the win to dethrone Syuri. She becomes the fifth IWGP Women’s Champion in the history of the belt’s lineage. This also ended Syuri’s reign at 55 days and 1 successful defense.
Sareee proceeded to address the STARDOM roster through the backstage press following her big win. She questioned the roster’s courage as none of them confronted her after the match to issue a challenge. The new champion then promised to do whatever it takes to make the IWGP Women’s Title the best wrestling championship in the world.
