Becky Lynch is a Mover.
FX has picked up a new “workplace comedy” pilot called Movers, according to a new report from Deadline. Movers was created by Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim, part of the team behind Comedy Central’s popular Reno 911! series. Garant co-created Reno with Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver, while Shim starred on the show. Both Garant and Shim are listed as co-creators and executive producers on the new FX pilot.
Movers is described as “an improvised workplace comedy revolving around the erratic and codependent lives of a crew of movers.”
WWE Superstar Becky Lynch was confirmed as being part of the Movers cast, credited as Rebecca Quin. She will co-star along with Garant and Shim, Maz Jobrani, Darius Homayoun, Tanael “TJ” Joachim and Manny Montana. Details about Lynch’s role were not revealed.
Lynch acknowledged the casting announcement, simply writing “Big Time Becks” on her Instagram account.
Movers is the latest acting project for Lynch, who is also featured in Happy Gilmore 2, out July 25 on Netflix. Lynch also has an additional credit in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy for Paramount+.
Deadline noted that the order from FX is only for a pilot, and questioned what it means for her WWE schedule “should Movers get picked up to series.” Lynch is currently the WWE Intercontinental Women’s Champion, beating Lyra Valkyria for the title last month. She is set to defend the title in a triple threat against Valkyria and Bayley at WWE Evolution on July 13.
