Tony Khan Offers A Convoluted Explanation For Thekla’s AEW Status

Thekla is finally All Elite, despite being in the company for several weeks already.

The May 28 episode of AEW Dynamite saw former Goddess of STARDOM Champion Thekla make her official AEW debut. A week later at the Fyter Fest edition of AEW Collision, she made her in-ring debut. There, she wrestled and defeated Lady Frost.

Thekla had been featured on AEW TV frequently since then. Her latest match was on the July 16 episode of Dynamite. This was a $100,000 Four-Way match, where she also emerged victorious.

The President of the Jacksonville-based promotion, Tony Khan, recently clarified her status in AEW. Khan took to Twitter to reveal that, finally, Thekla is officially All Elite. The AEW President mentioned that after her attack on the STARDOM President, Taro Okada, and her being terminated from STARDOM, Khan had placed the Toxic Spider on a 45-day probation. Now that the 45 days are over, Thekla has been officially signed to the Jacksonville-based promotion.

“Due to her attack on President @tokada_mh4e + her termination for cause from @we_are_stardom, after her debut June 4 at Fyter Fest #AEWCollision, I placed Thekla on a 45 day probation period before validating her contract. Her probation ended today. @toxic_thekla is All Elite!” Tony Khan tweeted.

So there you have it — Thekla is finally All Elite, as she earned her way to the coveted graphic that formally “confirms” AEW signings.
