Gia Miller Issues Statement After Being Attacked At TNA Slammiversary

Gia Miller has reacted to being attacked by Tessa Blanchard at Slammiversary.

Tessa Blanchard went one-on-one with former WWE star Indi Hartwell at Slammiversary on Sunday night. Hartwell won the match via pinfall after hitting her signature move, Hurts Donut. After the match, Gia Miller interviewed Indi Hartwell at ringside and asked what she planned to do next. However, Blanchard attacked Hartwell before she could finish speaking, and Miller tried to step in to help.

In a shocking moment, Blanchard also slapped Gia Miller and slammed her face into the steel steps by punching the back of her head. Security broke things up, and Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that there would be consequences. Those ramifications came later in the show, in the form of an indefinite suspension for Blanchard.

Gia Miller comments on Tessa Blanchard’s actions at Slammiversary

Gia Miller has since commented on the angle on social media, selling the effects of the brutal attack. On Tuesday, Miller issued the following statement, telling fans that she’s still processing the ordeal.

“I want to start off by saying thank you to everyone who has reached out. I’m sorry I haven’t gotten back to you all individually so I’m making this post to let everyone know that I am okay,” Miller wrote on Twitter/X. “I am not ready to talk about what happened yet. TNA has allowed me to take some time to process and decide how I would like to handle this situation moving forward. I ask that you respect my privacy during this time. Be kind to each other. Gia”

It’s unknown how things will play out on TNA programming. Blanchard’s suspension was a storyline element, but it’s unclear if there’s another reason for her absence, or if it’s purely storyline. It’s also worth noting that Miller is a trained pro wrestler, so that’s another potential direction for the storyline.

Miller has competed for independent promotions like OVW, and has competed (as Rusty Iron on three of TNA/IMPACT’s “IPWF Throwback Throwdown” retro events. She also works as a manager on the independent scene for promotions like Wrestling Revolver.
