WWE legend CJ Perry will write her first novel, Bulletproof Angel, with author Blake Northcott. The project is part of Paradigm’s new book-to-film initiative that pairs athletes with bestselling authors.
According to Deadline, Bulletproof Angel is part of Paradigm’s plan to turn stories into movies, TV shows, and franchises. The report revealed that more titles are in development, including collaborations with clients like WWE Superstars Damian Priest and Sheamus.
Reacting to her first novel, Bulletproof Angel, CJ Perry said, “I’ve always been drawn to stories of espionage, betrayal, and resilience, and building a world around two powerful female operatives was a dream. Blake is an incredible partner, and Bulletproof Angel is just the beginning.”
Author Blake Northcott shared her excitement about working with CJ Perry, saying, “CJ has a sharp creative instinct and a cinematic sense of story. She’s a true storyteller. This book is a fast-paced, emotional ride with explosive action and a core that’s all heart.”
Blake Northcott is the bestselling author of Arena Mode and The North Valley Grimoire. With over 50 novels, comics, and short stories to her credit, she has also written for Heavy Metal Magazine, Weird Tales, DC Comics (Catwoman), and Dynamite Comics (Barbarella).
Ian Kleinert of Paradigm negotiated the deal for CJ Perry and Northcott, while Richie Kern and Sports Group head Nick LoPiccolo handled the media rights.
