WWE SummerSlam featured even more brand partnership integrations, including a Kiss Cam that got pretty hot and heavy during a commercial break.
WWE has been adding more sponsorship opportunities over the years, picking up steam in recent months. This includes commercials, mat sponsorships and other opportunities. SummerSlam featured Sam Roberts and Megan Morant doing a “Seat Upgrade” sponsored by Xfinity, as well as a Kiss Cam sponsored by Breath Death, an exploding breath mint backed by a group of influencers that includes Logan Paul. Breath Death was announced as a new sponsor of WWE earlier this week.
The Kiss Cam isn’t exactly new in WWE. It’s been part of many events and even featured as a segment on WWE RAW over the years. Sponsored matches aren’t new either, as fans have seen matches sponsored by brands like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Mt. Dew in recent years.
However, this is the first time that a Kiss Cam featured a sponsor attached. The segment was presented similarly to a product placement opportunity that you’d see at a baseball or basketball game. The Seat Upgrade and Kiss Cam both took place during the break after the Karrion Kross vs. Sami Zayn match.
People at home didn’t see it, but the fans at MetLife Stadium sure got a kick out of it.

The jumbo screen above the ring kept a running score, rating couples who showed their affection for one another. Two couples got a “bad breath” rating, while 15 others got a “legendary” rating for really getting into the segment.
It remains to be seen how often this will be featured at WWE events. However, it’s something fun to watch instead of sitting through another pre-recorded commercial.
