Seth Rollins Shocks The World, Cashes In At WWE SummerSlam

Seth Rollins has added yet another legendary cash-in to his resume, as he shocked the world tonight and stole the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk.

In WWE SummerSlam‘s main event, CM Punk accomplished his goal of capturing another title for the company. He defeated Gunther in a brutal match to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after hitting back-to-back GTS’ in a stunning win. Unfortunately, Punk’s reign would last all of just five minutes.

Shortly after Punk won, Rollins’ music hit. He came out limping on crutches alongside Paul Heyman, and was screaming for Punk to hold onto the title while he could. However, as he turned to leave, Rollins stopped, and let the crutches fall to the wayside. He turned back around, and unclipped his leg brace, revealing he was never injured at all.

After grabbing the Money in the Bank briefcase from Heyman, Rollins ran down into the ring. He hit Punk with the case multiple times, cashed in, and then promptly Stomped Punk and pinned him. After winning the belt, Rollins and his stable all celebrated around a defeated Punk.

The cash-in confirms rumors that Rollins was seemingly never injured at all. After it appeared Rollins hurt his knee in a match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, it seemed like Rollins’ status was at SummerSlam was fully done. Becky Lynch, Rollins’ wife, even took to the internet to share videos of Rollins using crutches and a brace. It looks like that was all a work, though. Now, Rollins now reigns as one of WWE’s major champions yet again.
