The IWC continues to be in a massive uproar over the return of Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam.
While many fans have used social media to voice their displeasure regarding Lesnar’s return, this notion has expanded to the popular wrestling database website, Cagematch.
While typically fans can go to this website and leave ratings for matches and events, the ratings for SummerSlam have been removed due to attacks, comments, and downvoting surrounding the return of The Beast Incarnate.
Cagematch releases a stern statement
The following statement was posted by Cagematch surrounding this decision:
“Here is the deal:
If you write a comment about other user’s ratings, comments or opinions, you will lose your ratings and comments or be banned.
If you write a comment about how we administrate the site, you will be banned.
I am sick and tired of this.
EDIT:
All ratings and comments for Summer Slam and its matches were removed. I don’t have the time nor will to browse through hundreds of comments where half of them just sling shit at each other. Grow up. You can still view your ratings and comments for both event and matches in your ratings profile for now. You can copy them from there and repost them for the event and/or the matches to make them appear and be counted again publicly.
A new policy has been implemented
But be warned. The rule above is in effect now. There is a reminder in the rating form. I have no patience left for people who — continuously — think that the rules do not apply to them. We don’t need you to tell us the IWC sucks — we know. We don’t need you to comment on other users, even in the bestest of faiths — you are not helping. [And] We especially don’t need you to tell us that others should not care about “alleged sex trafficking” because it is “alleged” or might be settled out of court — what the fuck is wrong with you?”
It’s clear that the discourse over Brock Lesnar’s return has only just begun.
