WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch recalled an awkward moment she once had with Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth.
Speaking on What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes, Lynch explained that she grew up watching Star Trek movies but often mixed up famous actors like Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Chris Pine. Rhodes reminded her that Hemsworth appeared in the Star Trek reboot as George Kirk.
Lynch then shared that she met Chris Hemsworth years ago while working as a flight attendant. She recognized him from the Australian soap Home and Away, which also aired in Ireland. “Chris Hemsworth walks by and I’m like, ‘You’re that guy from Home and Away.’ Because Home and Away was this big Australian show, but it was also on Irish TV every night at 6:30 on RTÉ2. I loved it loved Home and Away. So I said, ‘You’re Kim from Home and Away.'”
Lynch admitted she embarrassed herself by bringing it up in an awkward way. “And then instantly I thought, why did I say this? You idiot, why did you say that? Anyway, he was like, ‘Yeah, that’s me.’ And then I said, ‘Nobody knows who you are over here.’ Again, why did I say that? Why did I say that, you idiot?” [H/T: ewrestlingnews]
