Natalya praised Chelsea Green for always making the most of every opportunity she gets in WWE.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Natalya discussed her Nattie Neidhart character and said wrestlers shouldn’t sit back and expect opportunities to be handed to them, they need to create their own. Using Chelsea Green as an example, she pointed out how Green makes the most of every small chance she gets.
“So, and I use her all the time as an example, but Chelsea Green, I love Chelsea because Chelsea, she takes the bull by the horns. They’ll give her one minute thing on TV and she’ll blow it up. She’ll grab a team, she’ll get a film crew, she’ll film a video, she’ll come up with the inspiration. She’ll write a promo, and she’ll post it. Then everybody understands.”
“It’s like there’s only so much real estate on TV. And that’s where Chelsea has really excelled, because she’s built this really, really fun character. She’s not blaming the writing team or WWE, or anyone, by saying, ‘I’m only getting this much time on TV.’ She’s saying, ‘We all have social media watch me blow it up there. So then they can bring it to SmackDown.’”
“Honestly, she’s such a perfect example of that, of somebody that just, like, she built it and brought it to them, and they loved it and they incorporated it, and it’s everybody coming together. It’s the creative team coming together, it’s the talent coming together and, like, now it’s more collaborative than it’s ever been. Like, I would not be able to do the Natty character if I didn’t have the permission of WWE to build that.”
