Jim Cornette Buries Mercedes Moné, Calls Her A ‘Rotten Actress’

Jim Cornette is not convinced that Mercedes Moné should be telling the AEW locker room to step up and get better.

During a recent interview on MVP and Dwayne Swayze’s Marking Out podcast, Mercedes Moné called out the AEW locker room. There, she said that if you don’t have the passion and desire to be the best, you should ‘get the f*ck out.”

Jim Cornette responded to those remarks on his Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast. He noted how Moné’s ego is so inflated that she believes she’s above that criticism. Cornette said that Moné is so convinced of her own star power that she can tell people to “get the f*ck out of here.” However, he’s not sure Moné should be verbally chastising others to work harder when she needs some improvement herself.

Jim Cornette is not impressed with Mercedes Moné

“She’s a rotten actress; she’s physically unimpressive. She’s ‘blegh’ to me in the ring because she misses as much as she hits. Or she’s trying to hold her wig on top,” Cornette explained. “And you know — but she loves what she’s doing, we can’t deny that. She’s just not really very good at any of the parts of it. And did I mention those rotten promos? But she’s got dedication.”

Cornette compared a goat building a house to highlight how much ‘dedication’ will get you. He added that Moné is better off in AEW than she was in WWE. However, he used the opportunity to take a somewhat subtle dig at her current situation. Cornette noted that Moné has Tony Khan “wrapped around her teeny, tiny, little finger” and he’s paying her “quite a pretty penny” to do what she does.

During a recent interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Moné proclaimed that Khan is the best boss she’s had in her whole life.
