Some higher-ups in WWE are pushing for the company to return to a major market they haven’t been to since 2019.
WWE is the biggest international wrestling company on the planet. And while they perform for fans all over the world, some markets get overlooked and left out in the cold. But for one market, that might be about to change.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), if some higher-ups in the company have their way, WWE will be returning to China in the future.
Sapp reports that “numerous people of influence” are pushing for WWE to host a major event in China in the future. With the specific location being somewhere in Hong Kong. The event could even end up being a premium live event, as this has been discussed internally.
WWE has only ever held eight events in China and hasn’t been there since 2019.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
