Chelsea Green is really enjoying her current run in NXT.
Green is currently part of the SmackDown roster. However, she also returned to NXT this year and started an alliance with fellow Canadian, Ethan Page. Green and Page didn’t know each other prior to aligning on NXT TV, but they have been a comedic highlight, defending the honor of their native country.
Speaking to USA Today, Chelsea Green said she believes it’s her duty to make sure the WWE main roster sees Page as a peer. She noted that they’ve learned so much from each other, calling it a “perfect union” of sorts.
“(Page) absolutely deserves everything in wrestling that he’s ever got, and now I feel like it’s my job to make sure the main roster sees him as a main roster talent,” Green said. “I also hope that he stays with us. I think that we’ve learned so much from him. He’s learned so much from us, and we have just made kind of the perfect unit.”
Chelsea Green and Ethan Page continue to win people in WWE over
During a recent interview, Shawn Michaels called Page and Green two of the most enjoyable people to watch on TV. Green also received praise from Natalya, who called her the “perfect example of making opportunities count.”
According to a recent report from WrestleVotes, several within WWE want to see Green and Page together on SmackDown. The report praised their duo’s chemistry on NXT, and said some believe the pair getting called up would “quickly establish Page as a key player” in the company.
The alliance between Green and Page began last month as an attempt to broker a “peace treaty” between themselves, and the United States’ Tyra Mae Steele and Tavion Heights. The alliance has continued on NXT television.
