The Miz Was Surprised By CM Punk’s Apology, Says He Seems Very Happy

One of the veterans in the wrestling business is former WWE World Champion The Miz. A couple of years ago, the Second City Saint CM Punk was present outside an arena during one of WWE’s Monday Night Raw episodes. He was there to provide an apology to The A-Lister for not being a good friend over the last seven to eight years.

Recently, The Miz was interviewed by Adrian Hernandez. During the interview, the former WWE World Champion reflected on his history with CM Punk. Miz also mentioned that he was caught by surprise when Punk apologized to him. The A-lister also revealed that he sees CM Punk as a happier person than he was about a decade ago.

“Yeah. I didn’t know what to expect. I remember coming down the stairs and seeing him and being like, ‘Hey’… Seeing him come back, it’s been interesting. I remember before, driving with him. But I also remember when he was at the tail end, and it didn’t seem like he was a happy person. Now, I see him backstage, and it’s a different person than I remember. He seems very happy,” Miz said.

“I wouldn’t even say complacent because he’s always competitive and always wants to be number one. He’s also in a position where he’s teaching a lot, and there are not many of us who have been here for 20 years and have been able to teach, learn, and adapt. It’s cool to see the change and happiness,” The Miz said. [H/T WrestlingNews.co]
