Braun Strowman seems to be making some big moves in Hollywood.
The real-life Adam Scherr previously campaigned hard for the role of Zangief in the live-action adaptation of Street Fighter. The role ultimately went to Olivier Richen (Reacher), but that didn’t stop Strowman from eyeing the role of a major horror franchise icon.
During a recent interview with Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, Braun Strowman confirmed that his agency has been in talks with parties that could pave the way for the former Monster Among Men to play Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th revival.
“There may be some talks about it with people that I know and my agency,” Strowman said. “If we could ever get everybody to get back on the same page and allow the things to work, I might be the next Voorhees.” [H/T Collider]
Strowman was part of WWE’s roster cuts back in May. However, reports suggest that he had already landed the role of a television host prior to his release. The series, titled Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman, is set to air later this year on the USA Network.
